Can't. once you're done learning a language, you're stuck with the accent you first started imitating. At the time I was watching American films and not BBC and British media.
But it gets worse, because despite trying my hardest, I can't get rid of the vestiges of my Hungarian accent. You open your mouth the slightest bit, and people's first question is, where are you from?
I just want to sound educated.
