Your thoughts on reconstructed Proto-Indo-European?
Would you like to speak its modern reconstructed version?

Hey Borat!

But in all seriousness I am very interested in this subject, and have always wondered how proto indo European can be the origin of so many languages, and how we can even make an estimate to how it sounded. I found it incredible that there were similarities found between European languages and those on the Indian subcontinent.

Sounds horrible, too many harsh H, sounds more like arabic than any other IE language.
I wonder if that reconstruction is really accurate.

Invasions, they scattered on a vast area and languages begin to differentiate.

And you're confused because they're not white enough I suppose.
Guess what, they speak some IE languages in Africa too now.

>harsh H
The h sound in european languages is usually not very guttural today. Germanics and Latins tend to not pronounce it or pronounce it very softly, while in the Slavic languages, many h sounds transformed into sh sound. There are exeptions to this ofc (the dutch etc.)

sounds a bit arabic, like clicking noises, I don't like it
imo it is very ugly

PIE were the Orc horde. Of course their language sounds as ugly as them.
Germanics never get past that stage.

Sounds cute.
But we don't know if they spoke like that.

Stupid wh*Te language
>>78855469
most modern concepts would lack parallels in PIE though. So while it would be nice to learn for its own sake, it would be rather useless.
