You won't believe me, but the police here often uses a Prius. Apparently one of the showroom owner had a lot of unsold Priuses that he had imported from Japan, but there wasnt much of a market here. So the absolute madman sold them to the police. Many speculate that there were under the table deals involved. Not surprising, considering we have one of the most corrupt police force in the world.

Ford doesn't make the Charger, Dodge does. Ford vs Dodge is basically one of the classic corporate rivals around here.

Basically, the reason we use it is because it's a perfect price fit for the power and its a locally made vehicle within NAFTA so the price per unit can be more controlled by Dodge to make it more appealing for police forces who will be buying hundreds of not thousands of them for local and national use. Other Dodge and Ford cars are popular among police forces as well.

In North America we have a heavily grid based street layout and tons of highways. Our cops need a car that can peel down straight aways in a chase, the power of a car like a Charger is great here.

In Europe the roads are much more winding, hence why cars with much higher handling over power, like Volvos tend to be police vehicles.
