A Finnish forum closed its eroticism board because of revenge porn and pictures of underage people
An anonymous discussion forum Ylilauta announced on Saturday to close its popular eroticism board. The admin announced the reasons for it were the revenge porn and pictures of underage girls.
Ylilauta is a Finnish discussion forum for anonymous discussion and known for highly varying posts. The porn board was the second most popular board on Ylilauta and among the most popular Finnish porn forums in Finland.
The admin closed the board as it was filled with shady material. The admin argued that Ylilauta is a discussion forum, not a porn site.
-Many people used Ylilauta only for porn which is not desired. Not even the porn board's meaning was to share pictures of your underage crushes but instead be a discussion board for porn, the admin says.
-Also the majority of the users seemed to be underage and they kept posting Instagram pictures of underage girls which can't be accepted. Also revenge porn was often posted.
Closing the porn board caused a heated controversy on Ylilauta and the admin was criticized for it. Some think closing the board was for good, some on the other hand are afraid that the "undesired users" of the porn board start to use other boards on Ylilauta.
