Do Russians still address each other like this today?
>How are you today, Ivan Gregorovitch?
>Wonderful, Alexei Mikhailovich! Just wonderful! Come here that I may kiss you!
>I say, Ivan Gregorovitch!
No, you only address someone by their name + patronym if they're higher in the hierarchy (i.e. your teacher or boss) or if they're elders/significantly older than you.

Do you still change the name of the person every second line?
>>78795363
The USSR had lots of good authors and artists, though.
>try to read russian literature
>everyone has very long names
>hundreds of people appear and all are addressed by aforementioned very long name
Russians must have superior memory capablities if they can remember all those names and all the things those people have done
>>78796895
it's just unfomiliar names, them being long makes problem worse, but it isn't the core problem
