>elementary school
>teacher introduces the amazing "metric system"
>just remember kids, 1 inch = 2.54 cm
>in the future everyone will use this
>we practice doing calculations by multiplying how many inches something is by 2.54
Here we go again
>everyone will use this
then why everyone uses inches for their display size?

Burma did not land on the moon.
Your argument is invalid.
i prefer the imperial system for human measurements but if you need to be super accurate then metric is the way to go
i can't look at someone and go "he's about 152.4 centimeters tall"
>>78741706
Neither do we. If I'm guessing somebody's height, I go with 5cm increments. Something larger, 10cm. Something big, 1m. Something huge, 10m and so on.

>i can't look at someone and go "he's about 152.4 centimeters tall"
Use your height as a reference point, the process is exactly the same as with inches and feet.
>>78741706
But you can say "he's about 150cm tall"'....
