This is the Capitán Cabral (P01), a river patrol ship serving with the navy of Paraguay (La Armada Paraguaya). It entered service in 1908, and is the oldest active-duty warship in the world. Say something nice about it, /int/.

it's not "it", it is a pretty girl, a loli considering her size

It's 33.90m long and has a 206 ton displacement. It has a Bofors 40 mm gun, two Oerlikon 20 mm cannon, and two 12.7mm machine guns.
amazing

It actually is kinda cool, looks like a sensible choice for an austere navy. They must have some very cool traditions on that ship.

Paraguay has a very interesting navy. The flagship is the cañonero (gunboat) Paraguay (C1). It was built in 1931 in Italy. It is waiting for repairs right now before returning to service. Its sister ship, the Humaitá (C2) is a museum ship that people can visit in Asunción.
Cabral and 2 other ships are smaller "patrulla ribereña" (riverine patrol) boats. The Teniente Fariña (P04) was built in Argentina in 1939, while the Itaipú (P05) was built in Brazil in 1985. The Itaipú can also carry a helicopter.
Most of the navy is made up of different types of "lanchas patrulleras," small river patrol boats. There are a few dozen of those, but only a few of them are big enough to carry cannons or large machine guns.
Paraguay's boats last a long time because they only operate in freshwater rivers.
