The LA riots took place in 25 years ago, not all people go to jail for rioting.

Second, Hispanics make up 37% of California's population as of 2010, that number is probably 40% now or more.

So, imprisonment rates are only a bit higher than should be.

Blacks make up 6.2% of california's population and that number continues to decrease, so probably about 6% or less by now.

yet their prison population is almost 30%.

That is 5X times their fraction of population, they are incredibly overrepresented in prison.

If you are trying to make the argument that hispanics are just as violent or prone to crime as blacks, then you are wrong according to the numbers.
