Does Canada really have only one road that connects the country

Why would you need more than one road? There's nothing between Vancouver and Toronto.

that's because the usa has many cities of note both north and south
there is literally nothing to the north of canada that would need more than one road since there is literally nothing to the north, with exception of edmonton
it's like if you built a bunch of roads in northern siberia; makes no sense

In northern Alberta it's called the muskeg and you have to wait until winter for the land to freeze. There's also road bans for equipment due to ground thaw.
