It does here in Sweden. They have precise routes they take. Which is good in case you just got there when the bus arrives.

Americans wear their shoes indoors. . why?! WHY?? why Americans? this is so trucking weird.

I still remember the first time I ever visited family friends in the states, years ago, when we walked through the door to their house I asked where I should put my shoes, and they just laughed and walked into their house.

This. Here in Brazil sometimes the driver doesn't even stop when there is people because bus robberies are at an all time high. So if there are shady people on the bus stop, the driver just keeps going as fast as possible.
>>
>>78504148
Because they have a time schedule to follow. Sometimes the bus will stop for 5-10 minutes so it arrives exactly when it's supposed to be there

It's funny that those monolingual retards are not even aware of the fact that the US has no official language. They always looked on the ground and fucked off after we told them in a polite way. Those kinds of people don't know shit about the country they claim to love so much.
>>
Our social customs make it so that when two or more people are together, any silence is automatically "awkward silence". In a classroom, whenever it goes silent, someone will immediately remark upon it just to keep it noisy. Stand in an elevator, and sometimes people will say "bye" on the way out just because it feels weird to say nothing.

Not really sure if it's US-only, but I've always found it odd.

>>
>>78506419
>>78506711
>>78507281
It's a stupid thing grandfathered in from when water to be used as warm water was stored in an open container in the loft/attic of the house. This meant that it could have all kinds of stuff get in to it if it had been sitting still for a long time. The reasoning they kept them separate was because the government didn't want people drinking warm water from a mixer tap, shitting their guts out, and dying.

The law has been like that since the 1910's even though they stopped doing that after WW2. Only recently has the law changed and you can now have mixer taps.

Yep, well here we have buttons on the railings inside the bus which the passengers can press to indicate that they are getting off at the next stop
>>
>>78506219
Not here, bus drivers have specific schedules like stop 1: 9:34, stop 2: 9:39 stop 3: 9:43 and so on. Therefore the bus driver might keep the bus resting on a stop for 2 minutes if he's early (lots of green lights and no traffic for example). The buses here are extremely precise, they nearly always arrive at exactly the moment written on the timetable.

You just say first and lastname if you need to introduce someone. After that it's first name basis for everyone else than the president. For people like the president you would also you a plural when referring to him. Similar to Germans using Sie/Sie, I guess.

The only Place where you use Mr/Mrs is in the army. There we use German style Mr. + title. E.g. "Mr. Sergeant, I have your Jacky pudding here for you". This practice is probably picked up from covert Jäger training in Germany during WW1.

Here it's more complex.

If you don't know someone and the other person both an adult and older than yourself you use the proper polite form of Pan/Pani (Sir/Madam). It doesn't carry any submissive connotation with it and I'm surprised in other languages it does.
Same happens if you know someone by the name/last name but the person is still older than you you adress them with Pan/Pani while they (granted they know you) can permit to call you on a first-name basis, but most out of politeness will use Pan/Pani as well.
Hell I've been addressed by most teachers on a Pan/Pani basis in middle school and almost all of them in high-school and being called on a first-name basis by a lecturer/teacher on a university would be an exception and a great indication that the person addressing you is just uncultured.
I've seen people physically fighting with each other (throwing punches, kicking, tearing clothes) STILL address the person they're fighting with Pan/Pani.
If you know the title of the person you're addressing like doctor, magister (someone with a master's degree), professor or a military rank like colonel you either address them with the title or Pan/Pani followed by the title.

Getting with someone on a "You" basis that isn't your colleague your age, similar age or younger than you is a big thing.
That's why speaking english is so weird to us, everyone is "You" even if it's a 80 year old military general that's been a president for two terms and has a doctorate. Wtf.

that was in the street where I used to live and it was a typical old people designated area, in the back you can see the tables where they play cards (briscola and scala 40 are very popular), but they also have a chessboard chiseled on the stone so you can have a game of chess, in the fron you have the bocce lanes, bocce is similar to bowling but the goal is to get your ball (boccia) near the tiny ball (boccino), only old people or romanians can play it also.

not visible in the pic is the flower shop (visible in this pic), water fountain and the milk machine where you can put coins and get a liter of fresh milk, also public toilets and a ton of benches, it is literally old man heaven.

It's kind of an extension of Halloween culture. Americans love to dress up and role play bro.

Until 5th grade we actually call them "aunt". They are mostly women until then. After that we just call them "teacher maria" or whatever their first name is.

Really? Indians here are mostly normal, except those that still pretend to be real indians while playing football and browsing Facebook on their cellphones. Those literally stink, good thing they mostly stay out of the cities.

I had my first alcohol induced blackout at 13. I wasn't even a hard or early drinker compared to my peers.

Shit wouldn't fly here.
Standing and staring at other people working while you're not working is extremely rude here.

At 13 I didn't have to ask a bum to buy me alcohol and cigarettes anymore.

For me as a kid it was always Mr/Mrs, but in Uni everyone calls professors and lecturers by their first name.

I find it very weird if an adult calls another adult Mr. last name

It really does boggle the mind how other countries do not have pubs, just "bars" and restaurants.
Though things i hate about foreigners such as not being quiet , complaining directly to someone instead of saying nothing is wrong politely , and making eye contact on the train, lots of the urban lower class do here anyway so it would be hypocritical of me to complain.
