It's hard to tell, while the casualties were considerable you would still have to assume Europe would have neither been wrecked by other conflicts nor gone through demographic transition.
Massive immigration from outside the continent seems the only way to sustain that type of population growth.
We hope the WW3 kills definitely the white plague.
