>vacationing in Iran
>90% of the time someone tries to talk to me they speak Farsi
>the ones that speak English then say "oh, you look Irani!" when I tell them I can't understand
>even the Ayatollah at Fatima's mausoleum in Qom thought I was Iranian
I guess there's some truth to the memes.
Also, Iranians are very friendly and generous people, death to Amerikkka.
I don't look Irani

Do you look like this?

Shiraz, Yazd, Isfahan and Tehran. Passed through Qom but didn't do anything there besides eating and seeing the mausoleum. People are generally very friendly, some old man in Isfahan who didn't even speak English gave me some sweets.

The only time I feared for my safety was when crossing the streets in Tehran. Cars won't stop unless you're in front of them.
