>want to study Portuguese
>all resources I can find are for the Brazilian dialect
>>
Brazilian dialect is the superior one. The Portuguese dialect went through heavy slavization since they colonized the country and sounds really stupid now.
>>

Just learn Brazilian and then tie a noose around your chin/head to keep our mouth closed like a man.

Wtf, have you check my nickname before calling me that I'm from Minho. I'm from Coimbra, born in Sé Nova in Daniel de Matos Implying that we can't get the same photo from google. And my father and I clean our terrain every year thanks very much.

In Penela.
>>

Também eu sou de Coimbra.

Há para aí um conas retardado que só posta essa imagem e torna todos os fios em cancro, daí a confusão.

Hehe. Peneleiro.

What was going on when Portugal colonized Brazil was the adoption of the French R, but that unbalanced the language, Brazilian Portuguese adopted the most simple solution palatalizing T and D before I sound. Portugal adopted the dumbest solution palatalizing the entire language.
>>
>>78253370
I like to believe that after a while we just wanted to distance ourselves from Spanish as most as we could.

Nem sei. No Manel Machado é que não. Tudo o que toca, estraga. Merda das "estátuas" ao pé da fucoli e agora na Fernão de Magalhães. Puta que o pariu mais a senpaiília de merda toda.

Quem é o gajo do PSD? O Encarnação tambem foi uma valente merda e fodeu as docas todas.
>>
All you need to know is 'Fodes caralho' 'bacalhau' and 'super bock', you'll be fine.
>>

It's also a Freemason guy that brought refugees to Penela, miranda do corvo and constructed an universalist multireligious temple with the form of a piramid in serra da lousã. It uses the refugees as cheap labour and propaganda for local elections. I'm not shilling for machado, but freemasons are the same shiet.

Fucking hell, we're doomed.

Braga and Faro are far and away ahead of us, and we used to be the fucking capital and cultural/intellectual centre of the country.
>>
>>78253745
3rd city of this country. No industry and companies. Buying terrains costs a lot of money here. Spending money in Convento Sao Francisco and 50% of debt is the Municipal Stadium no Calhabé.
>>
>>78253874
Former 3rd city.
>>
>>78253874
We have IPN which is nice for creating companies that later run off to Lisbon or Porto.

Our housing market has been in the fritz for very long because of the fluctuating student population.

Metro Mondego, though, was a fucking shitshow as well. So much fucking money wasted in whores, fucking hell.

At least the city itself is comfy and calm to live in.

>captcha was literally a "Malvinas son Argentinas" street sign, kek.

There were people pretty mad that even got their terrains expropiated for nothing.
>>
I heard Portuguese had to adjust their language more to the Brazilian macaco tongue not too long go in a language reform. Is this true?
>>
>>78254208
Yes in written form only. We have a retarded deal with every portuguese speaking country to eaven out the differences in dialects so the portuguese gets more universilised. It just rapes the language.

The opposition here is strong. Plus the agreement is legally null by its own terms anyway since not all Portuguese community members signed it.

>>78254523
Good. Keep fighting the good fight.
>>
>>78254343
I still use the old way but in thesis we have to use 90's accord. Newspapers - new. Some opinion columns use the old one. Laws with new one, etc.
The youngsters learn the new one obviously.

>Being this retarded
The only reason macacos exist is because Brazil was colonized by dumb Portuguese people instead of a decent European population. But Brazilian Portuguese has nothing to do with that, it's Portuguese as it was spoken in the 16th century with minimal changes as explained here >>78253370
>>
>>78254547
Counter-reforms have already been put forth and heard, and we're trying to take most of it back.

Plus, some things made more sense in the Brazilian way, like the umlauts in words like freqüente and delinqüente, where the "u" is indeed pronounced and we never did it.

>>78254523
The thing that worries me the most is that a lot of writers and even spokespeople on TV have been butchering the prepositions up a LOT, using ênclise and próclise wrongly, and sometimes avoiding mesóclise. It's pretty fucked up.

It's not that hard to use them properly.
>>
>>78254856
>Plus, some things made more sense in the Brazilian way, like the umlauts in words like freqüente and delinqüente, where the "u" is indeed pronounced and we never did it.
We did but the 1945 and earlier agreements happened too. Plus minor changes between 1945 and 1990.

The buthurted brazilianmud cry, is always pathetic to hear.
It fells good an entire ocean separate us from you
>>
>>78255008
Yes, and that particular change caused some rule inconsistencies.

I know our language isn't unambiguous and we have homographs like rota and rota, where one is pronounced "rôta", but we should strive for a consistent spelling ruleset.
>>
>>78254820
we are talking about orthography here - we changed subject meanwhile Facto / fato - it has to do with latin - galician-portuguese old portuguese
