we did have that, but on the fluid presets, not the kick-off ones, which means they are hidden from the opponents, but I know what they are. there's also the added bonus of being able to meme with the formation with it having no in-game detriment.

I am Greek is a CMF, and we already play with a SS, CF and AMF in a pseudo front 3. Adding an extra AMF would have left us extremely susceptible to /lgbt/'s counters, which is how they've scored most of their goals this cup. by playing the formation we did, we totally choked their offense and restricted them to edge of the box headers.

as for offense, we weren't playing long ball, we were opting for a middle approach, but playing the ball closer between players would not have been a good idea due to /lgbt/ having a larger midfield than us, as well as them pressing high. Once they went to gegenpress, switching to longer ball tactics was an obvious switch for us, and i'm surprised we didn't score from it, but PES wasn't feeling kind to our strikers today.

this plainly isn't true. as someone who watches the PES AI play against itself hundreds of times a year >for free, i can tell you the AI completely changes when a player is out of position. they pass poorer, make poorer decisions, etc.

You could have just made it a traditional 4-4-2 to pack in all the inform players in their best positions then, still would have been better.
There is a lot of luck but the AI is skewed towards Barcelona style tiki taka.

we were playing a roughly traditional 4-4-2, on defense, where it's a good formation. on the offense, we were playing a pseudo 3-4-3, reminiscent of chelsea and spurs last season, and aimed to attack in roughly the same manner. we were playing all of our inform players anyway, apart from 1, which would have required changing our shape based on luck of the draw conditions, which isn't a good strategy. the CMFs are there so that if normal tactics aren't working in tests, we have flexibility in positioning. as for barca tiki-taka, we played that from 65' until halfway through ET, and it struggled to move up the field and get into the attacking third.

honestly, you're talking big for someone who has never tested teams in the style of 4cc teams against each other. the meta is completely different to real life football due to every stat being the same on players, and every team having players better than ronaldo and messi. you're welcome to join the management and help test, because you clearly know real football, and how to play PES, but it takes some time to transition to a 4cc tactics frame of mind.
