>Bench press day today
>Elbow still hurts
>Didn't get enough sleep
>Worried I'm going to fail and embarass myself in front of the gym normies
am i going to succeed, int?
Try using hand weights. They're easier to drop if you get in trouble and some will argue its more effective.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Why would you press a bench if your elbow hurts
>>78208003
>hand weights
You mean... dumbbells?
>>78208041
No I mean weights held individually by each hand. A dumbbell is longer with weights on the ends connected with a bar in between. Look I'm not going to argue symantics with you. Just start with something that is easier to control so if you fuck up you can get out of there without killing yourself.

Don't you use some pre-workouts? No-Xplode Edge works well for me.
>>78208178
You can pretty much always roll the barbell down your body unless it's 300+ lbs though.
Or you can just bench inside of a power rack.

Kind of a waste of money, you might as well just drink a cup or two of black coffee or even make your own "preworkout" by ordering raw DMAA and other ingredients for a fraction of the cost online.
>>78208252
I've made that mistake before. You don't want 225 lbs sitting on your beck trust me. Also a power rack restricts your movement and ultimately is less effective, in my experience.
>>78207279
I didn't get enough sleep. I was dizzy when I arrived at gym. I was dizzy when I started setting up for the deadlift. I almost passed out when I was warming up. And you know what? I still pulled 220 kg (PR).
>>78208252
>>78208312
Have your gym buy proper benches, fuck.
>>78208307
>$32.99
>Money
Not really.

Arch your back enough and set the pins just below your chest when your back is arched, if you fail the lift then simply un-arch your back and they'll set on the pins.
Johnie Candito has a video about it.

You're literally buying like 500% for caffeine (you could buy like 5kg of caffeine powder for that $30) or low dose DMAA or whatever else it has.
It is definitely a Jewish scam and a waste of money. Just make your own preworkout, buy DMAA and Caffeine.
Also, does anyone know a good and not-too-expensive hydro isolate?

https://examine.com/supplements/1-3-dimethylamylamine/
says some retarded shit about it testing positive though so if you're an athlete that's tested maybe don't use it
>DMAA may cause a false positive for amphetamines in urine testing.
>The World Anti-Doping Agency has added methylhexanamine to the 2010 prohibited list, and while usage of 1,3-DMAA in the american military appears to be restricted[1] the Australian government has classified DMAA as a Schedule 9 substance (2012) and prohibits its sales.[2]
>>78208464
I don't really have time for this. I'd rather spend those 30$ and just buy it at my local store.
>>78208392
My gym is a poorfag gym though, they don't even allow chalk and get mad if you make noise deadlifting

Lol. Is it some public gym?
>>78208494

Open tap in kitchen or bathroom
Et wala
>>78208802
Also, there is a gym at my business center's first floor and during summer I hear groups of women making noises while doing their group exercises with a trainer, lol.
>>78208958
I broke a mirror at my gym because they closed early and said it was an accident
When I do rackpulls i slam the weight into the pins, bent at least 2 barbells lmao
>>78209036
The cheap kind bends and snaps and all that shit, so it's fine. Proper barbells cost like a $1000 a piece.
>>78209629
>Proper barbells cost like a $1000 a piece.
>>78208420
Oh god come on man. Don't arch your back when benchpressing. That is totally improper form.
>>78209759
Wat
Arching your back is how you bench press, otherwise you're putting your shoulders in a horrible position at the bottom.
>>78209677
Well, yeah. Obviously you get them a bit cheaper in bulk. But high quality barbells aren't cheap.
