80's was more magical though as I was a child and grew up with 80's pop and heavy rock while watching Miami Vice and playing C64.
Early 90's was more bleak in that sense, just environmentalism and girls wearing ugly, loose clothing that revealed nothing. But hey, late 90's was great.
