Okay this is about to get fairly autistic but hear me out. I'm incredibly interested by Iceland and have personally had the opportunity to see the mid-atlantic ridge that separates the American tectonic plate from the Eurasian tectonic plate. In Iceland the MAR is actually present above ground and you can see where the two continental plates converge, it's really quite interesting. Pic related is Þingvellir (rendered in English usually as Thingvellir) where the ancestors of Iceland actually used the ridge as a form of amphitheater to amplify their voices and be heard at a great distance to those in attendance.

Physically it is in both America and Europe as it's basically split down the middle. Culturally, though, Iceland is definitely more European (language, cultural ties to Scandinavia, genetics etc)
