Serious question. How do "fake" Jews feel about themselves?

I'm watching a Jewish documentary and I'm noticing, some people are clearly of middle eastern origins. But others look like Slavs or like us, Germanic, yet they claim to be Jewish.

I mean they either converted or they intermixed heavily and are now more European than Jewish.

Since the Jews put such emphasis on their blood heritage isn't it awkward to claim to be from one region while clearly looking like some guy from another region?
