Lisbon in a lot of ways is like you typically capital it has the history and all but it's losing its identity. I always preferred Porto desu. The countryside is very relaxing you can do rural tourism and all. It's awesome for a getaway with your special someone just to relax, have great food and escape the craziness of your daily life.

Our country side is fine, we have a piece of everything, landscapes, mountains, old historical towns. (see pic)

Lisbon has a great history, monumnts and archi, quality of life, but it is being invaded by imigrants from our former colonies.
Porto also, much history ,important city, also Braga, Faro, Guimarães, Évora, and Coimbra are fine.
Algarve is the most turistic, nice beach.
