I was just eating one of these and got curious: do you guys have anything similar to our "Lakomka" ice cream? Or is it exclusive to post-USSR?
It's a cylindrical piece of vanilla (could also be chocolate or creme brulee flavor) ice cream wrapped in a layer of whipped chocolate glaze. The "whipped" part is essential, it wouldn't be a lakomka without its signature porous outer shell.
I get the impression that the entire ice cream industry of post-USSR is wildly different from what the US or EU have.
i can think of ice cream sandwich

Looks like a cross between an ice cream sandwich and a Swiss roll.

Something like this? Although the shell is hard, not porous.
