Smug Tomoyo edition

I think the Paddy Power scenario seems doubly pathetic because it was clear he was only placing bets with the few quid he could scrounge off people at the bus stop. A junkie probably waits until they've amassed quite a bit from walking about asking people before they get their fix
>>77757905
Haven't had that happen I must admit, but I know aul Baldy always offers his services in town, exchanging a few quid for a custom traveller fight callout video. A mate of mine had him do one for some spanner we all know that nobody likes ages ago

I brushed him off anyways but I wonder why he asked the part with the sims card. Surely there are more people that would be willing to give you their phone for a call than those willing to let you open it up.
Don't know what his logic was considering he was a bit of a fat fuck and there's no way he could outrun me if I did give him my phone.

im completely shameless about going to an expensive place and ordering only 1 thing. they charge 2,70€ for a fucking drink in some of those "luxury" restaurants.

This is a good question. At first he wanted to work so it made sense he wanted to stay in one place but his plans have fallen through so much that it doesn't even matter.

Really Spanishlad, don't waste your time here jumping from kip to kip. Go out and enjoy the country.

What this guy said. >>77761112
People have been doing this for over a decade. Stop being a newfag.
>>
>>77760985
I recommend he move around the country and spend 2-3 days in each part like any regular tourist. Kilkenny, Tralee, Cork, Limerick, Galway, maybe Connemara, maybe go up North. It would surely be more interesting than staying in a kip and eating cheap burgers all day.
He'd probably even save money, looking at airbnb for the other cities there are entire apartments for less than €20 a night which would be a big lifestyle improvement for him.

No but I know people who have. It's very hard work. You're constantly run off your feet and the pay is terrible. I'd still do it though. I like jobs that keep me stimulated like that.
I've heard working for Supermacs is literal hell though.

Honestly if you're not willing to put in a small bit of effort into travelling then you're going to get nowhere especially nice other than shit places like bray or howth.

Well, When you get off the train just walk down the town, and the walk across the bridge and see the castle walls along the river, you can walk up to the castle and go for a walk in the massive park there, or get a tour of the inside of the castle, or you can go an art museum which is usually free entry for that.
If you don't want that you can head up the mainstreet towards canices tower which you can climb, which is scary but fun.

It's just a really pretty town, with lots of small things to see and do along the streets, you can just roam about the historical allyways if you want. It's all very pretty and it has nice food places.

Stock only servers. Mainly 2fort, and junction. Prefer to just play control point or CTF.

CTF is pretty much a non-gamemode. shitters love it because its symmetrical and pretty much a team deathmatch game were all retards go die in the middle zone.
i miss the time when pubbers weren't afraid of 5cp maps. now its all CTF fags, hightower and some payload. retards hate variety
>>
>>77785677
I'm not a pubber. I bought the game not long after it was released and spent hours on 2fort and junction. I'm a pro scoot, and was a pro sniper.
Also a pro engineer for a while too but I still got the pro scout in me.
Who cares as long as it's fun.
A lot of the newer maps I dislike, and I also dislike those maps where you push the car/train thing. MVM isn't my thing either.

When it comes to CSS and CS:GO though I'll play all the custom game modes on the community servers.
Actual CS is shit aside from some community deathmatches.

Yeah, I love finding random open source programs or scripts that turn out to be really useful. Lately I've been researching how to use the functions that Danbooru now hides behind a paywall. Better Better Booru seems to unlock most of them, but I still can't figure out how to search for more than 2 tags.

ye theres so much great opensource software out there, if the business owners werent so awkwardly backwards everyone would be using LibreOffice for years now.
also GIMP can do pretty much all of what Photoshop does and for me its much easier

I use Paint.net. GIMP has a horrible UI and is probably more advanced than I need for editing anime images and creating shitty OC.

ah, i remember using paint.net many years ago, but i think it was freeware not free source. still pretty good.
for quick edits or cropping i do preffer mspaint or Pinta wich boot up faster than GIMP and arent so cumbersome to use.

Win 10 S will be aimed mainly at laptops and convertibles.
It won't let you open executable (.exe) files for "security", at wich point i don't see a reason to stick to Windows when Linux is available.
It will force you to install all of your software through their appstore, like many locked down smartphones do.

The country's broadband infrastructure seems to just be all over the place. The radio's usually left on downstairs and a few weeks ago when I was having breakfast they were doing some segment with people from a rural town, can't remember which. But they were interviewing a young lad asking him what his experience is like using social media where he lives since its a big part of how the younger generation keeps in touch and he said he'd be waiting for days for images to send on the like of Whatsapp. Think a business owner said they could barely send emails with their connection too.

Yeah except this is only through in the remote parts of fuckbackwards donegal or galway.
Realistically it's not a prevalent problem, most places are up to speed.

It is a poor line. They said that the last day, they were supposed to check it today yet they didn't and told us it was an issue with wires inside the house. It's going to be another two days until they come back and fix the thing they were supposed to fix this morning.

>The research by price comparison website Switcher.ie also reveals that one in 10 Irish households have super-slow broadband speeds of less than 3mbps

Certainly not to the scale of being unable to send emails but speeds of 1-3mb would make it very difficult to stream video, download/upload or conference call which doesn't make it practical for any sort of business use. For leisure you wouldn't be able to watch Netflix without pre-buffering or play most games online.

Sounds like Microsoft with Windows XP. OS X has been supported and updated since 2001 so long as your hardware can run the latest iteration. iOS products tend to be on the latest update cycle for 5 years or so which isn't dissimilar to Android. It only really becomes a problem if you're buying a cheap iphone 5 from 2012 and suddenly realise you can't update to the latest version.

A 5 year old smartphone is ancient. The reason an iPhone 5 can't update to iOS 11 is because it's running a 32-bit processor which is no longer feasible for a quick, modern OS. It's not an evil ploy to force people to upgrade, it's the very nature of technology that hardware must be upgraded every once in a while.
Who doesn't change their phone every 5 years anyway? If it was purchased cheaply and second hand at a late date you only have yourself to blame.

if i didnt lose it i'd still be using my Huawei from 2012
some people dont want to be forced to upgrade because they just dont need whatever new features X company is trying to sell
in 2002 a 5 year old computer was ancient
in 2017 a 10 year old computer can do completely fine and run all of the programs a 1 year old computer can run
