It was, at least once. I used to play with my younger cousin in 2010 and almost all his classmates played LoL too. I liked it in the start but then the p2w ruined it, unless you're ready to spend 100-150 USD a month on it, you're gonna have an horribly frustrating experience.
Not worth the effort, better invest your times in greater games like FFXIV where everyone is on the same ground and only the most skilled players succeed.
