I want to learn a third language. What language is close to English in grammar and traditions? I find that there is a lot you need to know about a culture to learn their language.

Yeah I was thinking dutch or deutsch and I know that dutch is much easier. I hate the way it sounds though and it is much less practical since I wouldn't get a lot out of it compared to German.
