Is he a comedian? I thought he was a political commentator.
I suppose I should elaborate on some things I wanted to hear about:
- Is there translation difficulties with english to foreign humor?
- Are english jokes hard to "get" due to cultural differences?
- Is there a popular comedian you know who doesn't speak english?

I wasn't being serious.
But I'll answer your questions:
1. Some times. If the joke consists of a play on words, or pronunciation, then yes, the joke won't work.
2. It depends on the joke, really. I can definitely appreaciate some english jokes, but if it requires cultural knowledge, it just goes over my head.
3. No, I can't think of any.

Yes, they're the best. British, Irish, American, there's a lot of good standup.
