we are tired of tourists but for you, my jew friend, I can offer the old city jew gheto - it has a repurposed synagogue (now a house of christ), another synagogue, maze-like walkways, lots of history and loud-mouthed, low-class inhabitants.
The best of all is there are no tourists there, it's too harsh a walk for most dumb tourists and there are no places to milk their wallets properly.
