How common are "road trips" in your country, /int/? In other words, long-distance journeys (for holidays, business, or other reasons) using passenger vehicles, usually on your own or with friends? Usually distances of 500km or more.

With how big and spaced out shit is here (and in Australia), I can confirm that it is quite common here.
I have one friend who is really into cars who goes on road trips 20 times a year. He gets off work in Toronto on Friday, sleeps for a bit, and is in whatever middle-of-nowhere-moosefuck-land he has chosen for that weekend before noon on Saturday.

Pretty common due to distances between major places. For example many people drive to the Black sea coast from cities like Moscow, Petersburg and other big cities from central region.
