What does /int/ think of Barcelona's "Plan Cerdá," the famous urban design which transformed the city's Eixample district in the 1860's? Should more cities adopt this design?
It doesnt have to do with what Cerdá planned.
It sucks. If you dont understand you know nothing.

Modern City planning NEEDS to incorporate public transport into the basic design. These places are getting more dense despite the drop in birthrates.
Without it, you're looking at 24/7 traffic gridlock.

10/10 city design, but we shouldn't copy it exactly. Rather, we should lean from what Barcelona did right and adopt a similar design to our local cities.

Agreed. Automobile-based commute and transport is not sustainable. Every city deserves a good subway system with trains connecting it to nearby urban centers.

With more dedicated greenspace it would have been perfect.
