I'm in my early 20's, but I notice that arena rock/party rock/etc. from the 70's and early 80's had a kind of swagger and ballsiness that has been lost or abandoned. That seems like a big part of its enduring appeal. Even the way the guitar lines are structured is sort of like penetration. A thrust and an ebb.

Hey, more power to ya. Honestly, any kind of music even tangentially related to rap from the British Isles is difficult for me. It's too spastic and the vocals are too influenced by reggae for me, and I grew up on Midwestern rap. I guess I just don't get it, but hey, that happens.
