I think America has a really bad education system, compared to other developed nations, so if you don't have wealthy parents, you are gonna be less educated than people from other western countries

Most of the problem stems from the poor education coming out of public schools. Schools are also mostly run by the state, with federal intervention here and there, which can cause problems.

Another issue is the education among minorities is especially poor, because of programs that allow them to get in to college on the grounds of being colored.

Speaking of college, they lower their expectations every year, so the quality of teachers coming out worsens as time goes on.
