It's even more complicated than Chinese script through, although not at as much as Tangut script.

It's somewhat similar to our Latin alphabet now in the manner that it took Chinese script, add more strokes in every characters.

Literally what. Vietnamese is basically Cantonese with different grammar and some native vocabulary. Viets were just shit at adapting Chinese characters and creating new ones. Then you got cucked by the French and your writing system makes absolutely no fucking sense at all.

What we created is for native vocabulary, my friend. Most of our basic verbs, nouns and all numberals are of native origin.
