In france, if you're a student and renting a flat, you'll get about 200 to 250€ of welfare that go directly into paying your rent.
You can also get up to 520€ a month of "scholarship" if your parents are poor. Your grades don't matter, only the money your parents make.
If you work and make less than minimum wage but close to it, the state will pay your the difference ( example: if you earn 900€ a month, you will get another 300 € to put you on the 1200€ minimum wage)
All museums are free if you're under 25
The public transportation card costs 350€ a year for a student under 26 instead of 800€ full price. The city will pay for half of those 350€ for you.
When going to the doctor, you will be paid back 20€ of the 30€ a consultation with a general practitioner will cost you
A year of university will cost you 400€.
