A study released last month found that at least 1,400 bodies were dug up from mass graves across the country between 2009 and 2014. And those are just a fraction of the 176,000 murders that police have counted here over the last decade.

At the same time, Mexico has a trillion-dollar economy and is the eighth-most-visited tourist destination on the planet. The government denies there is an armed conflict going on.

I have a great friend from Mexico, actually he'll be visiting this week.
Other than that, the country in itself has a really interesting history, but is almost in a state of civil war because of the cartels and whatnot. I think the best that could happen to you is a coup d'état, remove drug dealers Duterte style and remove the corrupt politicians.

Also I honestly think Trump's Wall would help fixing US-Mexico relations in the long term. Less illegal immigration = less resentment = better relations
