If you disregard the rebellions of the northern territories, and I suppose a modern-minded person should, Danish civil wars were so long ago they're more like brawls between robber chiftains.

If you mean The Civil War as in that bit of a tussle you Americans had, then it's viewed as a bit of a tussle you Americans had*, and the South is seen as the bad side.

*A historically studied Dane might view it as a bit of a tussle you Americans had while Europe was doing warm-ups for the first world war.
An extra studied one might consider the many ways the American Civil War prototyped and foreshadowed the great wars of the 20th century, but ehhh... whatever.
