>most countries have one guy to be the leader and one guy to LARP as the leader
>America isn't retarded and just has one guy as head of state/gov
Why does the world, and especially eurotards, do this?
America's system is by far the most retarded one, must confess I don't have the patience to explain why though.

You mean intelligence?

We're too cucked to have an alpha male like DJT as a head of the country.

>americans think separation of head of state and head of government is a bad thing
>>76948729
No, I meant patience. It's not even terribly difficult to grasp why mixing your acting government with the head of state is a bad idea, you could easily squeeze it into a basic civics class for grade schoolers.

Well, that´s why you compesate it with your Vicepresident.

Enlighten me, bong.com. You just know you want to submit to the superior American system, but your pride in "muh empire" won't let you admit it.
The presidential system is one of the main reasons while a lot of African and South American nations are shit now. It's just so prone to produce bad results.

In Germany it is bad because the head of state is not elected by the people.

>giving the figure head more popular legitimacy than the head of government
>good idea
Did you sleep in civics class?
>>76948627
We tried that once.
Everybody complained.

Our system is literally one of the oldest still stable governments in the entire world, and our constitution is the basis of modern western democracy.
I hope you are joking.
>ITT Britbongs shitting on the only superpower to ever exist
I guess the only argument is that one is the supreme commander of the armed forces or whatever and the other is the head of government but then again America seems to be standing, hasn't devolved into tyranny nor gone imperialistic.
>inb4 murica haz 10000 trillion bases everywhere
that's no argument shithead
its easier to have a separate PR guy and separate evil dictator

The major strength of a system where the head of state is separate to the head of government is that you don't need to revere your government to revere your country. You can, and in fact very often do, disagree with or even despise your political representatives without impugning the nation and its institutions as a whole.
This also has a related, subtle but crucial side effect: minority interests can be effectively contained because the government can be formed and dispensed with leaving the head of state, speaking for the nation proper, wholly unaffected. The rigid inability to balance minority interests as well as the lust for power is the reason the presidential system has failed in most non-developed countries and is associated with strongman government, coups and democratic failure.

The post office in my hometown is older than America. Never mind that you almost tore yourself apart less than a century in. America has endured in spite of its system, not because of it.
