it's not unusual to see a black person here and there in Belgrade, Zagreb and Ljubljana.

In the capital probably. I've never seen non-whites until i moved here, but to be honest I live near the embassies, so it's expected in this part of town. Near the UK embassies for example you'll always see people of different ethnicities from all over.

But in general, though, not much. I never saw a black person or asian until i was 18 and on a trip in Italy. My first thoughts were "huh, just like on television".
