When we don't bomb Syrians we basically have unofficial permission to attack ISIS, which is who we mostly bomb and it benefits pretty much everyone except ISIS so Asad doesn't complain. I'm not as familiar with what the Turks are doing but since they got fucked with refugees and share a border they unsuprisingly have a horse in the race. Also, UN recognized doesn't mean shit in war (see Yemen, Libya and Somalia.)

Well, nowdays it is.
Sinai is a good place: a lot of natural resources & it was a was a touristic heaven
even after we gave it to Egypt it was safe for years but now Israelis hardly go there anymore because only the south of it is kinda safe, while the north and many other parts of it are full of Clashes between the Egyptain army and isis.
