A little known factoid about ww2 is that Canada actually ran the show and won the war for the allies, not by numbers mind you, but by planning and strat. We were always in command and my grandfather was part of the Winnipeg rifles in ww2 or "winnies" as they preferred. He went up and over the top time and time again at Vimy, somme, fuck you name it. USA takes all the glory these days though as we Canadians are a pretty humble bunch, its okay though. We've been first man in, last man out for a long time.
