Reminder that all the fucking "I'm a unicorn" bullshit started with people who genuinely have medical conditions that make it difficult for them to pick a gender. Unassigned gender might actually be useful for intersex babies.
But this, this is fucking stupid. I bet that under the hood the authorities still recorded whether the kid had a penis or not for demographic purposes.

Isn't the requirement on the birth certificate Sex and not Gender? If it's not identifiable I think they mark it down on separate forms, in the case of stuff like intersex conditions. But hey, have fun filling out government forms for the rest of your life without a complete birth certificate
