Since making the thread I've given it some thought and if I break down all these issues they do not seem hard at all to tackle. I think the primary problem is wasting a lot of time on such a pessimistic website with no real value.

It seems as though things "snowball". Probably if I lose weight I can buy new clothes that look and fit me better and then as a result I will have more confidence that will help with getting a better job and talk to people and so on. I think momentum is probably the key here - the law of inertia seems to be no meme based on my observations

Well Jesus is in my life and everything is pretty much perfect right now. :) Best thing is that not a single thing can take this happiness away from me. It's up to me whether I follow Jesus or not, He is not going to abandon me.
