The gargantuan forced artificial centralization towards the Oslo region. I am sure Brits can say the same towards London, or Franks the same towards Paris, but unlike those, we don't have a large population base, so when its centralization time:
There is no other large regions that has population.
And because there is no other real places to go, Eastern Norway is becoming desolate as the population is moving further and further towards Big Oslo. And by proxy, the other Norwegian cities are growing, because the population outside if the cities is becoming so thin that there is soon no culture left.

Meanwhile in Norway there is Oslo, and there is the areas around that is calling themselves something else to deny they are a part of Oslo.

I think the scariest part is that one can occasionally go to tourists trip to Sweden, and once you go past some point, the entire countryside is overgrown in humongous forests, because there is no rural population or farming anymore in Norland.
