Btw the high living standard is a wierd subject, because the cost of living also increases dramatically. For example, people who make 100k/year working for the government here only take home about 50-60k, and the prices of food and amenities are high enough to reduce that quickly, especially housing. In the end, you live about the same as in Romania, it's just you have access to more products because the market is larger
