Most countries that Napoleon invaded turned around into parliamentary monarchies and started the path to democracy, development and political and civil rights.
Russia wasn't conquered, so they remained a peasantry "Empire" that failed so miserably to modernize that it was necessary a communist revolution took place there to actually make them worth something.
