How can Finnish people enjoy Samiakki, the most hellish candies

Not everyone likes it, me and a few if my friends included hate salmiakki.

tried it once and I liked it (the first couple of them not so much, have to admit), tastes weird as fuck but in a satisfying way

They sell them in the US at a chain-store called "Cost Plus World Market."

It's okay. It has a taste of ammonia, though. Almost "smelly" inside of your mouth, like a piece of really old, pungent fish.
