yes. despite the angry /pol/sters here who think canada is an ethnostate and are bitter because they are left out, 2nd gen minorities in fact do assimilate and contribute to the country. same with america, i've never seen a more diverse crowd than when i go to the US during the 4th of july and see all different ethnic groups dressed up in US flags.

I agree, though I'd say its the 2nd gen that's most patriotic while the 3rd gen varies. 2nd gens are usually reminded by the 1st gen about how much they had to work to get here.
