Which aspect of a foreign culture have you adopted or are willing to adopt?
For me, I really want to adopt the Buddhist philosophy of not getting attached to anything. So far I'm doing pretty good. I have no attachments to particular items, places, events, languages, groups of people, ideas, etc. I'm a pretty "enlightened" person. But when it comes to women I cannot shake the attachment to certain people and I'm not sure if I ever will. I've attempted to broaden that attachment though. For example, a preference for blondes and Asians and Hispanics. But I still have an attachment to very specific individuals which has proven hard to break. I know it's possible because of past girlfriends I now despise with all my soul but for girls I've never dated or even met it's a little harder.
