Are you sure about that?

Arabia enforces its culture and morality in a way many Europeans would find barbaric (as they would the culture in question). In contrast, freedom of thought and respect for individual rights is a cornerstone of our society, and we'd be violating that had we endeavoured to emulate Saudi approach to foreign-culture intrusion.

On the other hand, what should Europe do about sudden influx of people from wildly different culture?
What to do with people who consider raping little boys at swimming pools normal because they're sexually deprived?
What to do with people who are used to treat wives as property, nevermind expecting state to recognize their marriage with a 5 year old?
What to do with people who set shit on fire because their fingerprints need to be taken for asylum procedure to prevent fraud?
What to do with people who throw rocks at truck drivers because they want to move from fascist evil France to socialist utopia of UK?
What to do with people who pretend to be teenagers to get better position in asylum procedures and then rape girls who expected to care for those poor innocent child refugees?
What to do with people who give sanctuary to terrorists instead of reporting them to authorities?

What to do with people who mock the law because they have nothing to lose?
What to do with people who consider charity to be a sign of weakness and demand subservience of people offering them hospitality?

I worry that when looking for answers to these questions we will become Saudi Arabia or something even worse.

Do we even know why we value freedom, democracy and equality before the law anymore? Do we actually value them?
