We have 1 car. Used to have 3 but they were parked 350 days yearly. Mom got upset and we sold 2 of them. The one that we have, we barely use it. Weekends to the farmers market and we make a big trip on vacations and that's it. We need an electric car to be honest

>Public transport can take me to an airport faster than driving where I can fly anywhere anyway
>Can do all this for less than the price and hassle of owning a car
>And better for the environment too

The only time I've ever wished that I've owned a car is moving house, but I can just hire a taxi and the money saved by not owning and using a car pays for it eventually.

There are only two reasons that I can think of that I would ever want to own a car, the first would be if I moved to the middle of bumfuck nowhere (read: Hicksville USA like OP), and the second is if I have children

Poland is doing pretty well and indeed, we usually have minimum 2 cars per family, but it's used, 10-year-old cars stolen from Germany, not shiny, new trucks like in the US.

I need it once a week for groceries, also it can pull a caravan or the little old boat.
It's very safe because of the higher position of the seats in the car.

The sportscar is nice to explore the country side at weakends without children...
And to get to work when it's not summer.

The Scooter is the perfect vehicle to move in the city center.

BMW R1200GS is necessary to have some freetime with cowokers...as we all do bike tours when the weather is nice.

Most European cities that are at least medium sized are built very compactly. Most services are often in walking distance, if not, public transport can usually take you across town quickly and efficient. Commuting by car might force you to stand in traffic jams in cramped city centers, and can in general be impractical compared to a well developed public transport system.

If I lived somewhere rural, I would have to buy a car though.

Hills? Why put hills in your country?

>>75572342
Cycling in summer is worse.
>>

You simply change to winter tires.
>>
>>75572364
but harder and dirtier than driving a car or using public transport
tho I like riding bike in good weather

No problems at all, studded tires is sold in every bike shop. I have a 150 meter long hill up to work. Not a challenge even if it's 100% ice.
>>75572342
>riding in winter is miserable
Nah it's nice. You don't sweat as much, it's quiet and peaceful.
I rather ride to work in -20 degrees and snow than summer and sun..
>>
>>75572451
>but harder and dirtier than driving a car or using public transport
What, it's easier than both. Or you mean you need to do more? Who gives a fuck about moving a bit. We don't like becoming fat.
And cycling doesn't make you dirty.
>>
>>75572446
This. Winter tyres for bicycles are it like 60 euros a piece. It's not like it's hard to change ur tyres
>>
All you need in Europe is a bicycle you only need a car if you have many kids or are compensating for your small dick or non European heritage

Why are your arguments for oil? More and more people are switching to electric, fucking eurocucks always moving the goalpost in every thread I swear shawty

>>

It's like $10 a barrel

It's not the price as thats is actually very low, but the fact that we have to destroy nature to get it in a few decades.
>>
>>75574155
Wasting? Using isn't wasting shawty.

God damn America ruining the planet for everyone else again

We aren't talking you to do it. What does Estonia have? Lmao, it's not your world to ruin anyway, it's ours. We will do what we want, and the world will Just have to tolerate it, it's not like a few cars will destroy the world, we are even going green, we are more green than Europe even, every single house in my town has solar panels, a short drive away we have windmills, and a hydroelectric damn.

>>75574281

Neither really green.

Dams destroy nature. Windmills aren't in anyway green, I know because I work in them.

>there is still hella nature around
Keep it that way and make more
What I've seen is the south west drying uo, killing everything around.

We have a similar system here, although not for environmental reasons, but rather to reduce traffic jams on our 4th world roads. That's why a lot of people end up getting a second car or more commonly they buy a motorbike for the days the can't use their car

it's not the car culture, it's just that old american and japanese cars are far more easy to find in the US than in Croatia I'd imagine

for example, I'd say he'd probably pay an extra few thousand on top of what we would pay for a '70 sunfire just due to their rarity in the euro market
