>“People ask me, how long can you make robots? I say, it’s simple, we will make robots until there’s no more people in factories,” said Chu.
>>
But there is no demographic problem here anymore. We imported 2 million male refugees, that should have fixed everything.

Mr. Chu, I promise I will have the rent tomorrow! Please don't evict me!

I thought your refugee laws kept them from working for a couple of year after they arrive

How is China going to deal with the dilemma of modernizing in an age where automation is fast approaching while having a population of over 1.3 billion people?

Soy greco

GLF 2.0, but with unrestrained anarchocapitalist authoritarianism instead.

can you tell me about the shithole called Greece?
>>
>>75461533
the government will conveniently organize a new "Cultural Revolution" which will "accidentally" involve hundreds of millions of peasants dying.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>>
>>75461533
if total robotic automation society actually took place 1st world countries would stop investing in china because they dont even need cheap labors anymore. china wouldnt be able to catch up new techs that come from 1st world, then what would happen. one certain thing is that the affairs of the world economy would dramatically change.
>>
>>75462147
Lol not happening
>>
>>75462147
China doesn't compete on low wage anymore

They are following in Japan's footsteps.
>>

Easier said than done. The closer China gets to modernizing, the less feasible it will become to sell the idea of genocide to their people. Not to mention, the western bloc isnt gonna just turn a blind eye to a genocide that makes Assad look like Ghandi.
>>
Mr Chu should watch Battlestar Galactica

i feel that japan actually will go down this road. the actual concrete formation of full-automation society is hard to imagine at this point but i dont think its impossible. this is closer to a sci-fi story but the life style and mentality of human beings will also dramatically change.

>>75462871
yeah and another problem of them is that they arent good at being efficient and making things compact with an aesthetic. japanese are shitty at being efficient either, but when it comes to robots and mechas and nano machines and shit, thats another story.
>>
>>75461533
A lot of their populations will get really old real fast thanks to their one child policy, they kinda need the robots.
>>
>>75462871
They still do.
>>
>>75461533
There is no such dilemma tho. Capital intensive industries which make the biggest profit don't demand cheap labor but high-quality stuff and machines.
>>
It would be awesome and funny if China offered incentives for old people to voluntarily euthanize themselves.
>>
>>75464196
Not really.

Chinese followed (been gone since 2013 or so) the one child policy like they follow other laws.
>>
>>75464413
Well, technically everyone does

Wages = productivity
>>
>>75463724
Meh every economy needs people. Especially the service sector, and with Japan trying to boost tourism, it needs workers.
>>
>>75465470
Their fertility rate still decreased too fast. They reached the peak of their working age population a few years ago
>>
>>75465761
Not exactly. Much of the concern about the demographics is related to the fact they went from six kids per woman in 1960 to 2 in 1990. For example, their working age population went from 200 million to 900 million. Now it is pretty much stagnant.
Their demographic statistics are also questionable. Many Chinese did not report their children 1980-2010. Each census, the birth cohorts increase because undocumented kids finally become registered adults.

China also defines "working age" as 18-60, which is a smaller range than the 15-65 or 15-70 used in the West.
>>
>>75465709
i was talking more about a futuristic vision of full automation society, service sector can be automated if actually androids worked. youd laugh at those as delusional anime trash but plenty of japanese dont think its a figment. and actually theyve already developed it.

The difference is that people put a premium on interacting with humans. Otaku trash don't have friends, so unless Japan is 100% otaku that isn't happening.

There will still be 50 million Japanese when we are old farts in 2080. So a fully-automated society is unlikely. 50% automated? Definitely.
