I do not know what part of the siege your grandparents were a part of but they did help alot. There is a film which came out last year about the norwegian campain seen from the view of king Håkon and his son Harald. The main goal of the germans was to get the norwegian royal family. The Brittish were instrumental in getting the king out of the country and to Britain. And they helped together with the US to support our militia afterwards.
