How common is smoking in your country? Is it allowed in restaurants, bars, and cafes?
It is sometimes saddening to watch old films and see people smoking everywhere.
Idk how common it is but in the last couple of years lots of workplaces and public spaces have banned it. It isn't seen as cool by the youth anymore either

When did that happen
It's banned in public places, including bus stops etc. Usually pubs have speacial areas for smokers, at least in my city.

Around 2012 or so. All the cool kids smoked to be rebellious but now they're seen as losers with no future. Smoking at parties is still common though

Im not even a smoker but a full ban of smoking in all public area is retarded.
Unless he create some kind of designated areas or something.

Pretty common, a lot of people here smoked or have smoked.

No, Ireland was the first country to ban this I think or at least one of the very first.

>When did that happen
When I was in school only the scumbags and troubled teens smoked, it was generally seen as uncool and for scum.
I am four years out of secondary school but it was like that when I first started secondary school.
Weirdly enough about 3/4 of my class who looked down on smokers and hated smoking ended up smoking once they turned 18 and started drinking.
